I just came in from shoveling snow and it wouldn't be so bad if that damn wind would die down. Everytime I would throw the snow up on the pile i would get a face full back at me.

We gave up and decided we would shovel AFTER the wind dies down... Nowhere to go anyway!

Wilky, those minus 45 and 50 degree temps forecast for Siberia aren't the wind chills.

EP, Maybe we can get Limbaugh and Al Franken to talk into a big balloon. That ought to provide enough hot air to get you to Siberia.

Nope. I want a private jet, preferably a 747, with all the amenities that Nancy P. Lousy gets at taxpayer expense - gourmet food, premium liquor, the whole works. And when I get there, I want a luxury suite, at least 2000 sq. ft. Something like this will do. You work on it and let me know.

If I can get all that I'll be on the beach at Hawaii, Acapulco, or Rio watching the thong girls go by. Or maybe a nice trip to Australia. It's summer there and they got nude beaches.

Might be we can get you a ride over to Russia on an Alaskan fishing boat. You can gut fish on the way. We'll put a T-shirt on you that says Russia is more gay than France, and they'll see to it you get a priority trip to Siberia.

Those are interesting, but after living awhile in the arctic I seem to lose interest seeing all the snow. I'm curious to see what the rest of winter and spring will do. Maybe the rough spring we expected last year will be this year.

I know "most" of the state had excess rain last year, but we didn't have near what I expected in this area. I'd like to see a nice warm up with plenty of nice calm rains in the spring, and just enough through summer to keep things green.

You can have all the rain you want, ratz. Just keep it over there. I don't think my basement (or I) would survive another summer of super-saturated soil.

I'm sure you'll get rain, want it or not. Who gets the most or least is hard to say. I'm not guessing yet since this time last year I expected bad weather in the spring of 08 and got a bad start to winter instead.

Talk about crazy weather. Goodland has been warmer than Hays for days, but today Hays was warmer than parts of Florida. Hard freeze warnings for Northern Florida tonight and monday night with lows in the teens and 20's. And alot of water lines are above ground in the South.

I love the warm weather!!

I wonder what the record is for the biggest snowflake? I was just outside and there are some huge snowflakes falling outside right now. There were some that almost looked like the size of a quarter.

I could be wrong, but I think this is the biggest flake ever.

Ok snow lovers. We got more snow, and we've had well below average temps most of the winter while Goodland and even Canada have been topping our highs. And now I have the flu for the third time since October and I missed an annual party for the first time in 20 years. I also just picked up a case of fine brew that's only put out once a year this month but I'm sick enough it doesn't even taste good.

Can ya'll cancel the snow wishes and wish for Spring now?

Too bad it wasn't an early end to winter. This flu bug has left me with a plugged ear. If past years are any indication it might open up and drain about May.

F*** winter. It becomes harder to get through every year older I get. And the Weather Channel is pissing me off too. I am so friggin tired of snow pictures and videos I want to go postal. Show us some warm Beaches in the tropics or Australia for a change. Showing me snow pictures right now is like showing prisoners nothing but pictures of razor wire and German Shepards.

I was glad we didn't get the snow here in southern Johnson county like the got in north kansas and up around St Joe. We did get some ice here but the streets weren't too bad to drive on today but i'm sure they have froze over now.

You guys got nothing, again. I came home from there, to 8" of snow on the ground! THAT sucks!

Just think how nice and green everything will be in the spring from benefitting from all the moisture.

I can handle a few arthritic pains. The wheezing, gurgling lungs, ear infection, and sinuses that let out a flow like the Hoover Dam floodgates because of the countless frigging diseases of the death trap know as Winter is taking a toll on me. I seriously need an end to Winter very soon.

If it were just a "few" pains Id be ok, but I mean literally my both of my knees, feet, hips, shoulders and all my finger joints are killing me. And it sucks. I could live with snow, its the friggen cold I can NOT hang with anymore.

Looks like things may start to stabilize and get closer to average. My mom always says she remembers super cold snowy winters and very extreme summer heat from her childhood, but I remember very cold winters and very hot summers too. But as I explained to mom, you remember the unusually extreme years, temps, and precipitation events, not the average ones.

Havn't checked since Midnight, but yesterday the Hays average high/low for Feb 24 was High 49 Low 22.
