| Better yet: it blew my full blue poly over before the trash collector came by this morning...not mention my neighbors and all the contents too! Wonder if the COH will get enuff complaints to warrant a drive by look in high wind areas of the city?? | |

| No.
They should have a bungee type hook on the lid to keep them closed, if they do happen to fall over. I know that not all poly carts have those, and the ones in Hays may not, but I think they all should. Ours have those, and they help a lot in keeping the carts from tipping over in the wind, because the wind can't blow the lid open, making them easier to tip...even when full. | |

| Problem with the bungie is that when the truck arm picks the cart up, the lid does not open far enuff to allow the contents to be dumped into the bin. My truck comes at 7:10 am like clock work...so I but my poly out the nite before. So when it actually blew over and the contents spilled I cannot say. I had to go out this morning before I came to work to put it back in place and pick up the trash over the lawn and put it back in the poly for next week. I think I see a cycle beginning here: | |

| I just picked up what blew out over the nite and replaced it in the poly this morning after the truck left. It is my understanding that if you need additional garbage space, you contact the City for an additional cart. I do believe there is an additional charge for extra carts. Wondering if the COH should put out a High Wind Warning for lost "Poly Carts and Loss of Contents"...I cant wait to see how I get my cart to the curb when we have another 13" of snow.... | |
