It just got dry enough yesterday in most places that you don't "squish" with each step. Didn't last long... rained again this morning. I truly hope we don't have a repeat of last year.
I'd gladly send you guys some of this moisture.

Plant dandelions near your garden. The early seasons greens are good in a salad and you can make wine with them.

Dandelion wine. I've never had it, or ate the greens. The rabbits like the flowers and stems before the flowers open. It's pretty funny watching it bite off a flower at the bottom of the stem and see it slowly disappear in it's mouth until finally it gets the flower end in.
That vortex vid was good. It was nice they got such a good chance for getting data and film start to finish with no towns or anything being seriously hit. The end was pretty cool when it had the inner and outer vortex effect.

Supposed to be improving chances. I figured it'd start raining and hailing about when the wheat started getting close. Keep the friggin hail off my garden though. Some place in Missouri had softball sized hail that lasted several minutes today. I remember when the Hoxie area got hit with that kind of storm. Nothing was left of the corn fields but stubble.

My son said our backyard would now qualify as a national park, because it's turned into a marshland. Glad I'm not there to see it.

Since you were the one putting out all those negative anti-rain waves try saying "It will rain" and see what happens.

In hindsight this stands to reason. Ellis Co. was taken by surprise last year just like the meteorologists and over-prepared this year. There have been alot of big storms and huge hail, just not here. The cooler May and June has been nice though and my roof and garden don't need softball size hail.
Just shows how unpredictable weather is. There were lots of concerns last fall that the wet spring/summer was leading into a bad winter, but just as the rains have missed this area so did the big blizzard. Next year it could all reverse again or the whole state could go into dangerous drought. Hell next month we could either dry up in 110 degree heat or flood under a 10 inch rain. Weather is unusual in lots of places this year.

Hey Slickjay. They forgot that little circle around Ellis that that repels all the storms. Hit like a bitch last year, dribbled on this year, yet all around others are getting soaked.
