I have never seen a constant lightning show!!!especially right above my house Canterbury and Reservation rd!!!!!it's been about 20+ min. of constant light,I'm scared it's gonna get my house or me

Yeah Wilky that was a nice light show early this morning. The thunder woke me up so i looked outside and was like hell yeah!!!

YES I loved it...........it was like a big ass party with the lights going off and on.......I should have turned on the music...........Oh wait we didnt have electricity!!!!!

This morning when I was driving over to Ellis I ran into a nice little thunderstorm just west of Yocemento on old 40. There was some close lightning strikes, I could even hear the thunder in my car.

It's SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO nice outside!!!!!

Is everyone enjoying this monsoon were having today? I'm thinking that i might need a boat if it keeps it up.

lotsa storms and warnings and watches popping up in western kansas and eastern colorado along the border

I knew when I called her Mrs. someone would correct me. How old is she now? Must be near 100.

Hell, Ratz, I thought she was 100 when I was in 5th grade (that's what she taught, then).

I thought she was the Crypt Keepers mom when I was in the 6th.

Thunder is rumbling in the distance. I'm sure it won't be long before it gets here.

Come on over and mow my lawn and trim my trees. I don't want to do it anymore. The trees branches are almost reaching to the ground in a few spots. We don't have that nice Bermuda grass over here that you guys have, that might need to be mowed once every other week. Dang it.

It's almost chilly over here, today. Been overcast and cool - upper 60's low 70's all day, after a night of 2+ inches of rain.

Bermuda grass sucks. It overtakes everything and triggers dangerous asthma in me. It's good hot weather grass, but it's a pain otherwise. I miss my nice fescue lawn I once had.

Yeah, but the fescue, when it rains 1/4", the grass grows 2!

The fescue was easy to mow, stayed green almost all winter if it was mild or had snowcover protection, and and never spread where I didn't want it. The bermuda is only green when it's warm, tries to overtake gardens and flowerbeds, builds on itself and grows over sidewalks requiring more trimming, and it grows in 100 degree weather if a gnat lets a wet fart on it. My fescue yard stayed even with the sidewalk for 20 years. Since bermuda took over the yard its now several inches above the sidewalk.

They both have their good and bad points, but I liked the fescue. And I'm not allergic to fescue. Using a weedeater on bermuda can close up my airways tight enough to be scary.

bermuda is the only thing I have seen that can actually outgrow and kill bindweed. Thats one tough grass

It sucks for metal detecting in. All those roots are tough to dig in and a 10 year old coin can be 6 inches down, where a 100 year old coin might only be down 2 or 3 inches in less prolific grass.

Hey NB, radar shows you had 4 to 5 inches of rain North of town. Send a couple of those our way. Hold the hail.

A MIXTURE OF RAIN...FREEZING RAIN...SLEET AND SNOW MAY PRODUCE HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS ACROSS MUCH OF WESTERN KANSAS MONDAY NIGHT AND TUESDAY.....

WIDESPREAD FREEZING DRIZZLE, AND A FEW EMBEDDED LOCAL AREAS OF
FREEZING RAIN WILL PERSIST THIS MORNING, CAUSING DANGEROUS DRIVING
CONDITION FOR LARGE PARTS OF THE AREA. THE AREA OF GREATEST LIGHT
ICE ACCUMULATION IMPACT WILL BE ALONG AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM
GARDEN CITY, TO JETMORE AND LARNED. NORTH OF THIS LINE, A MIX OF
DRIZZLE AND LIGHT SNOW WILL PERSIST, WHILE SNOW OR FLURRIES MAY BE
MORE PREVALENT FARTHER NORTH, TOWARD THE INTERSTATE 70 CORRIDOR.

MAJOR WINTER STORM HEADED TO CNTL KS..... Tues will bring in the brunt of the storm. Ellis Co. is expected to have significant snow-possibly 6" or more. High winds 35+ mph will give near blizzard condition.

This makes perfect sense since I need to travel this week.

*LIGHT SNOW WILL DEVELOP LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND CONTINUE TONIGHT. SNOWFALL WILL BECOME HEAVY TUESDAY AND DIMINISH TO FLURRIES BY MIDNIGHT TUESDAY. STORM TOTAL SNOWFALL OF 7 TO 12 INCHES CAN BE EXPECTED. NORTH WINDS OF 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 45 MPH TUESDAY AFTERNOON WILL PRODUCE NEAR BLIZZARD CONDITIONS.

*VISIBILITIES WILL BE REDUCED TO NEAR ZERO IN SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW TUESDAY AFTERNOON. SOME ROADWAYS LIKELY WILL BECOME IMPASSABLE DUE TO DRIFTING SNOW... AND ALL ROADWAYS WILL BECOME SLICK AND HAZARDOUS.
