Coming home from Vegas today and had to stop on Interstate to watch the tornado by Quinter. It was a little too close for comfort but at least everyone is safe.

sometime I really hate not having a basement.

my bro just called..they live 5 miles nw of ransom...says harvest came early...golf ball size hail...some neighbors 6 miles south of them, lost their house!!!
jess you guys ok???? just heard on the tv buildings lost in ellis...
on a lighter side, the fire trucks just drove by and said "cathy get in your basement!" guess i drink too much with some of them!!! everyone stay safe...

Drove by your house during my survey of things after the storms cause I knew you'd been waiting for a big one to hit. You were outside doing something, and your house was still there so I kept going.

No damage at my house, they picked up tree limb that fell down already!

I don't know about anyone else but I am tired of the freaking sirens.

They wouldn't be so bad if Baxter didn't like to sing to them.

maybe up to 3/4" in the se side of hays and not many of the big fellers. mostly less than 1/2".

1.5" in the rain gauge. Similar hail to hobobill's earlier.

No, that's not why they make the masks either. It's a disease barrier and so the victim won't hurl chow in your mouth.

So I take it you had no serious damage jess? And how bout leaks? Did justoo and nitro do a good job for you with their caulk?

I just got back to Hays from Colorado. On my venture up to Sterling Colorado yesterday I took Interstate 70 to Wakeeney and seen a large tree uprooted and the fence at the football stadium damaged from the stands falling into it. There was also a storage shed just north of their hospital that was destroyed. I seen many fields in Norton County under water, looked like mini waterfalls with water pouring out of the fields and into the ditches. We also went north of Oberlin and seen the damage done at the Decatur County feedlot and a house that was damaged. On our way back today went went down through Colby along Highway 24 and seen a couple of houses damaged west of Hoxie and some powerpoles busted off. Also seen an irrigation unit tipped over. I wish I had my camera because I could have gotten alot of pics.

J2 and Nitro did a great job with the caulk. No leaks, no serious damage!!! I lucked out by the looks of things!

Saw some stuff on radar already. We'll see if it gets mean or just postpones mowing another day.

I can handle just plain ol t-storms.... sick of the tornado crap.
