The burning of the compost site

I have been grossed out ALL day by smoke!!The smell smells good for the first 7 hours,then it's just too much.Why couldn't they burn sticks on a non-windy day when the smoke would just rise???

City at work in all their wisdom.

Good thing it didnt start a NINE mile wide fire!!!

I dunno, but it stinks! I live near 13th & Marshall so it's all blowing my direction. Had the windows open earlier so i'm enjoying the lovely aroma of burnt wood! YUM!

The smoke from the burning compost pile is bad for the lungs of everyone! Not to mention babies, non smokers & smokers alike , also people with lung disease. They should put the compost pile well out of town. I felt like I was in a room of smoking cigarettes for two days there. I thought I was getting infected lungs and ready to call my Pulmonology Doctor . Add the burning of animals from the vets, man they are going to kill me!!!!! I had to leave Hays and go to Ellis!!!!! Then I found out that it was the compost pile. .... Don't get me wrong. We need the compost....just not the smoke

I don't know if the Vet was burning the last few days ... but I have gotten sick from them burning animals for years now. A few puffs of this sick dog and that sick cat, for a whole day.... SICK!!! Between the compost pile burning and the animals burning.. maybe that's why I get sick every month. We need better City Laws that protect us!!!

I was in Hace yesterday when the fire dept was on scene they where flushing the hydrant by the ole path lab and got my newly washed and shiny truck all spotty with there water. I should send them a bill but I could not go around it as the flow of water was flying across all of the street
