I wanted to call BS. I thought that you had to have a combination of snow/wind/temp to qualify. But I got this info from NOAA before I made a fool of myself.

In fact, we can have a blizzard without any falling snow! These are termed ground blizzards and can occur when strong winds cause blowing and drifting of loose, existing snow cover. In these cases, poor horizontal visibility is confined to a few feet above ground and often you may be able to see the sun under cloudless skies directly above.

i have seen a blizzard warning for 2 inches of snoe it was just blowing hard

no more blizzard watch,been called off-not that means anything really
