| Does anyone know how long it takes for the County Attorney (Ellis) to file charges on someone after an arrest? | |

| Call the County Attorney office and find out. Could take up to a year. | |

| I "think" that if they haven't done it after a year, then it's dropped. My son was supposed to face a few charges and lose his driver's license and it never happened. | |

| I wasn't trying to be a smarty pants, actually I thought the statute was 7 years also. But decided to look it up on the net.
I told my son that he had lost his driver's license right there while in court and wouldn't let him drive for about 9 months. Then the little stinker called the courthouse or the DMV and he did still have it. | |
