| I'm not complaining. It's in Shawnee County, I'm just over the "line" in Jackson County. It's ever changing scenery when I go to town... the mound has gotten huge in the last few years. | |

We have a transfer station. Our transfer station has areas for construction debris, tires, metals (to be recycled), household hazardous materials, trees and brush, e-waste, and a big building to dump the rest into trucks to ship out. The county is looking at reopening the landfill because of gas prices. They initially closed it because of the toxins they put in the water. I wonder if they are still cleaning that up? | |
