Guilty Plea in Kelsey Smith case

Edwin Hall pleads guilty in the June, 2007 killing of Kelsey Smith, of Overland Park, Ks.

Incidently, yesterday, the judge ruled that the death penalty could be sought in this case.

This is part of a plea deal that will guarantee that he will not get the death penalty. He'll get life without the possibility of parole.

I hope he gets ass raped and choked to death.

Well if I remember right, this man sodomized her with parts of a tree!!!! Excuse me, but this man should get the same thing, why on earth did he do that?? Sick, disgusting, pitiful bastard!!! Give him the same thing, then death!!!!

When's the last time this state used the death penalty anyway? Life without parole is the most he's going toi get, whether he gets a death sentence or not, and it saved the taxpayers the expense of the trial, not to mention saving the family the pain of the trial.

We should have let him be tried in Missouri. They'd tie him down and shoot him up.

Everything I've found indicates that KS hasn't used the death penalty since before 1976. There was a period in there where the death penalty wasn't an option though-

So like I said, the most he's going to get is life without parole. Hopefully he ends up wearing Depends and having nightmares about being a sword swallower due to all the raping he gets in prison.
