Pumpkin contest

The haunted house is damn cool. I had trouble getting your pictures to load. I've seen the problem before when trying to post photos here from pukebucket.

Actually, 1 is NB's. (prolly done with a stencil, but can't prove it.)

2 is my son's freehand with a kitchen knife.

Just an fyi, I hand drew my "stencil" on to a piece of paper, and the only thing that was traced on to the pumpkin was the outside edge (the round part). I then created the rest using a knife. So technically yes, I did use a stencil, but I didn't use a premade one, and I didn't actually stencil it on to the pumpkin..

regardless, it rocks NB! We opted to paint pumpkins this year. Our 1 year old isn't ready for pumpkin guts yet...

Granted, she has some positive qualities, but what took her all day, took a 13 year old a half hour. I'll stand by my son's creative abilities always.

oh geeze. It took me 3 hours. And Josh's is a totally different type of "carving" than mine. Had we had bettter rules or whatever Im sure Josh could have done something as intricate.

They're both ok. The haunted house just appeals to my style of Halloween decor. Nicely cut too.
