| Right now, I'm hoping Minnesota releases Rosenthals and Denver snaps him up.
But the Broncos will win at least 4 games. They play the Faiders twice and the Chefs twice.

| the chefs lost there qb for 4 weeks. That means that Brodie will start and play one series and get hurt for the rest of the season. And the RAIDERS will beat the Jackasses twice this year | |

Hey slick, here's a newsflash: Brodie Croyle is playing for the 49ers. And Thigpen has two broken ribs. That leaves them with, uhhhhh, who? The answer is Matt Gutierrez. He was the third string QB for New England last year. He became the backup to Cassell when Brady went on the DL. As for your other assertion, all I can say is New Orleans 45 Faiders 7.

| No offense meant because to each his own, but do ya'll take any other hobbies as seriously as helping guys who play games become millionaires? Some guys I know never seem to talk about anything but football, basketball, or racing. I have family and friends who practically worship their preferred football teams for reasons beyond my comprehension.
Slickjay, I know you like guns which is a hobby that greatly profits you in more ways than one. EP, I know you study politics, though I'm not sure there's profit in it. But I'm honestly just curious because it seems like guys so seriously into watching other guys play ball don't do much for themselves other than buy a bigscreen TV to watch it all on.
I mean, I watch some sports, like UFC fights, The Superbowl, local school sports if I know any of the kids, occasionally tough man competition, and I watch a few olympic events among other things. I played sports as a kid, but I never dreamed of being a big sports hero.
But I also like history, and science, and relic hunting/archeology/paleontology. I like guns and antiques, paranormal, science fiction, and I really get into holidays like Halloween, Christmas, and Independence Day.
So just as I say, I'm curious if most avid sports fans are as diverse in their hobbies, or is sports an all consuming obsession? If so, why? The media hype maybe? I can understand why someone obsesses with trying to be the best doctor or scientist. I can understand why someone lives for discovery or a new way to help the planet. What is it about "watching" sports?
If there is no explanation other than that's what interests you then that's fine. I'm just curious why sports seems to totally take some guys lives over.

That was Damon Huard that was playing against Denver's 4th team, not Croyle. I haven't paid much attention to the Chefs, although their coach seems to have an affection for ex-Pats. But 45-7 is an embarassment, even in preseason.

My love of sports stems from a love of statistics. I don't remember how old I was, but I was fascinated by a story about David Eisenhower becoming the official scorekeeper for the Washington Senators. For a long time, I wanted to be the same for the Red Sox. Little did I know that those jobs come open about once every half century. I admit that ESPN takes the stats a little far when they flash up a player's batting average with a 1-1 count, 2 outs and runners in scoring position, but I still love the numbers. Probably why I can easily get caught up in a good craps game.

| I just don't know about Todd Haley as the Chiefs coach. After seeing him in his last press conference he looked a bit haggard just like he got done going through a night of hell boozing it up. | |
