Forum Conduct

You can trace back to the original host, but when posting in a forum like this it's probably going to be the address the incoming data comes from that will be seen. I used to watch java bombers come back to hit chat sites again and again even though the attacker was blocked by moderators each time.

I've gone on a forum that I was banned from before by changing my IP. Its been years ago so maybe with new tech you can't do that anymore.

Now see maybe you can answer that for me. Why do people keep coming back once they've been banned? It's like buy a clue, you are not allowed to visit the site.

I remember back in my early college days of 96 when the chat muds first came out I use to get a computer banned from a certain chatroom and then move to another computer lab and log right back into the chat. Sometimes the chats would finally figure this out and then site ban the whole college. Damn I miss those kind of chat rooms.

I used to moderate for a sports site. I was basically automatically banned from the rival site. Never posted, just kept up with their articles and updates.

Oh I see I still wonder why people whoare jerks keep on coming back.

Because to torment was their reason for being there. I used to go to a site where we could make the moderators or anyone else with java turned on say stupid crap, change their names, and all sorts of dirty tricks. I remember one javascript that would change their name to "Your balls my chin" and transfer them into a gay chatroom without them knowing it happened until they tried to post and found out they weren't who, or where they were at their last post. It was hilarious.
