I would like to remind everyone that we do have some rules around here - and we need to follow them. We have had some pretty heated discussions and there have been a few times that there was a lot of namecalling and such going on. Please try to refrain from getting too nasty. I have been pretty lax, and so have the other two mods. I don't want people yelling because we censor them but eventually it is going to go over the line.

Thanks NB. I agree. I would add that this forum was originally intended to be family friendly. The language that certain posters use should probably be toned down to fit in this concept. Call it snobbish or elitist if you wish, but it is hard to attract new active members with garbage can language.

Let's clean it up so the admin and mods don't have to.
Remember, if you follow the rules, we don't have to make you follow the rules.

Enough with the name calling! These rules don't apply to a select few, they apply to everyone. I have deleted the offensive posts, and will continue to do so if they don't stop.

Explosive anger over a failed attempt at humor that intended no slight, combined with gun ownership; makes one a walking posterboy for gun control legislation. I'm glad I do not have that problem.

You're one of the few that had the accurate story on Harvey. It was nauseating to listen to all of the crap
on the sorry-assed broadcast media about Harvey's passing and what a great man of the people he was.
This "good 'ole boy" demanded 30K for his speeches and managed to extort 100 million from ABC on his
last contract with them, yup, a real "good 'ole boy. He knew how to work the media and he did it to the max.

I remember 20 years ago listening to him talk about how the "environmental wackos" were protesting the dangers
of storing and transporting radioactive waste and how there was a safe, permanent way to do it knowing full well
that there isn't. He just said "there is" and let it go at that and all the goobers believed it. Nobody in the "media"
ever challenged him on that. His right-wing corporate crap got to be too much and the folksy stuff so smarmy
I couldn't handle it any more. That was 20 years ago and I doubt it got any better.

I guess telling the truth is considered "speaking ill of the dead."
