Went to Gella's last night for the birthday. Enjoyed the Pale Ale and the India Ale even more. The lady friend had dark brew and sitting beside us at the bar was a kid drinking Coors Light. WTF does someone go to Gella's and drink that pee water for?
The lady friend was loudly laughing at him and I told her my theory about how Coors Light is made by drinking a good beer and pissing in a bucket of water. All our discussion was no doubt overheard. Now I'm drinking a Sam Adams Imperial Pilsner. The most hops biting beer I ever tried. Overall an enjoyable birthday.
By the way, I really like Gella's. So nice to go to a bar and have more than three brands of weak beer to choose from.

He was drinking Coors Light because their beer sucks ass at Gella's as well as their overpriced Menu of Swill.

LOL I drank many a Big Jug in the days when a cheap drunk was more important than taste. Almost got me a jug of the India Ale last night. Not sure what the alcohol content of their brew is, but I had a nice glow started after just a couple ales.

Their beer is a lame assed excuse to sell to the loser fucking elite lowbrow class wannabe's that flock to that shithole. If that is the best that Hays has to offer for dining then we need to just pack up and let this place die. Eddy Hammond and his joke assed crowd can drink that swill and eat that shit, they deserve it as fucking fake as they are.

Been there twice, food and their beer sucked. The waitresses where interested in only getting that big tip, if they sensed you weren't going to give them that tip, they tried to rush you out so they could fill that table with someone else. Just because a Bar has a bunch of so called hot women doesn't make it a hot spot. 95% of the college gals around this fucking dump only want to bilk as many free drinks as they can flirt their way from those men that they think will shell out the money for them because they are interested it the old dumb bastards.
The beer they serve from their excuse for a Brewery in the pretend beer. Go to a real town like Lawrence or Kansas City and go to the Micro-Brew places there. THAT IS REAL FUCKING BEER, NOT THE DISHWATER THEY SERVE AT GELLA'S!!

Yeah slider, I'm sure if I wanted to spend a bunch of money to go to KC I could find beer I like even more. But the ales I had last night beat the hell out of the last two bars I was at here where the choices were three or four common brands and their light versions for just as much money as the ales I enjoyed last night.
As far as the women go, I had my own so all that extra eye candy just topped it off. And hey, this is 2009 not 1909 so if you don't like girls it's cool man. I hear KC is just full of bars that you might like.

I have never gotten a decent meal at Gella's and have given up on trying. So I agree with slider on that much. But I have to agree with Ratz on the beer issue. His accusations against women are so overboard that I have no comment other than to encourage slider to tone down his angry rants.

My experience may not be the same as others. I have tried to eat there four times. Each time the food sucked. Don't know that I would kill the chef, but if anyone has to die for those meals he would be high on my list.
