STAR WARS IS THE SHIZNIT

Star Wars was good, but Star Trek was special for it's time. I suppose our age difference has alot to do with things. I thought Lost In Space was good too. Well at least the ones where Dr Smith was meaner and the show was more serious. It got pretty campy in some of the color ones.

But we got this going for ya........

The U.S. Army Chemical Materials Agency marked the elimination of the last VX nerve-agent munitions from its stockpiles Dec. 24 with destruction of the last land mine containing VX at the Anniston Chemical Agent Disposal Facility in Anniston, Ala.

The nation's entire original stockpile of approximately 4,400 tons of VX was produced at Newport Chemical Depot between 1961 and 1969. Newport's production facility was destroyed in 2006.

VX nerve agent was never used in combat by the United States.

Star Trek resonated with many people, including Hollywood, for the societal theme of many of it's shows. That's some pretty high calling for a science fiction series. I completely agree with Ratzilla, the original Star Trek was special. It's the only TV series I own . . . . VHS . . wish I had it on DVD . . . wasn't available at the time. Live Long, and Prosper.

As long as our troops occupy Iraq. Iran probably had far more to do with the Iraq invasion than Saddam having WMD's. Saddam was just the easiest to get by with hitting.

Star Trek could be campy too, but in it's day it was a step above most shows of it's type. It was kinda politically correct, but not to the point of sickening. The last Star Trek with it's ultra feminist captain and black Vulcan was just too much PC. I hated it.

No, I didn't mean that. Not sure why you think I did. I meant we went into Iraq largely to keep a close proximity to Iran. I've always considered Iran and Saudi Arabia as the biggest supporters of Islamic terrorism. I honestly expected that we'd have invaded Iran as soon as Iraq was taken. I thought it was likely the real objective. But regardless, as long as our troops are in Iraq, Iran can't hit Israel.

I liked the last year of Voyager. What I'm miffed about is "Deep Space Nine." Some damn fine shows, in my opinion. But when the writers created the war with the Dominion in a desperate attempt to prolong the series as long as possible before cancellation, they completely fucked up the time-line for all of the series. Any further Star Trek movies or series, I hope they just ignore that ridiculous story line.

I guess it wasn't actually the last Star Trek that had the female captain. I never really watched much of the newest with Scott Bakula as captain. I never liked Deep Space Nine.

Yesterday, on Fox’s Hannity and Colmes, Iran war hawk John Bolton said that Israel’s recent bombing campaign in Gaza is all the more reason for the United States to bomb Iran now.

We know it's bad if they start drafting our age. I've been expecting the Middle East to erupt for several years. And I'm afraid we could end up on opposing sides with Russia. We've already been taxed just with Iraq and Afghanistan. If it escalates the draft will have to take place.

All this crap could happen thanks mostly to differences in religion. We could go down in some future history books as the civilization that had a world war over mythology.

It does seem like our country is forever destined to fight a two front war. Not sure why that is. Seems like we could be damned effective putting our formidable resources in one direction. I suppose that's naive.

And what's one of the first damn things they always do nowdays? Use military resources for non-military purposes like stopping drugs, or otherwise waste them doing things with the civilian population. A military force is just that and should be used for nothing else.

You know that came from a translator site. That's what it turned out. The English for that - and the actual statement that the guy in the picture was making - is "I'm a dumbass!"

That would be fine, if who they elected, if their calling in life wasn't to wipe Israel off the map; if they wouldn't launch missiles on Israel. I'll give you one thing, Mike, I don't think Israel is doing itself good by moving into Gaza. I think Hamas is waiting to pull them into an urban environment. After the Israeli army's less than legendary performance against Hezbollah, I think it emboldens Israel's enemies. Stupid, really. Israel has a long history of learning from Her mistakes, but I think Israel has a tough row to hoe.

Did you know that if you don't have enough rocks to throw, they will bring a load of them in, and dump it in the street for you. When Israel has Gaza occupied (not an objective) it will be sport for the lads to chuck rocks at troops, as they laze around all day.

I'm afraid Rog said it right old boy. We side with Israel not because of who's got right to the land, but because of two things. Money, and because both Jew and Christian (AKA 99% of the US Congress) honestly believes that some unseen god hand will strike us all down if God's favorite brat child (the Jew) doesn't get it's way.

Jews are the whining God brat, and Christians want Jews in control of the "Holy Land" so there will be guaranteed air conditioning and hot baths in the hotel rooms when they go to see where God's chosen primates ( AKA Jews) did their big show and became Christians.

If we pull our support (both financial and military) of Israel and other countries follow suit the result will be quite predictable. Their military will run out of necessities and will fail. Those who have vowed to eliminate Israel and kill all Jews will have their chance.

Which genocide do you prefer to support? In this particular situation there is no apparent middle ground.

I prefer to support no genocide. I would also prefer we didn't give billions of dollars and weapons to the terrorist state of Israel. If they are to be swallowed whole without our assistance then maybe its for the best. They seem to be little more than bloodthirsty savages anyway. Everybody the US helps evolves into a bully. Bin laden, Hussein, Noriega, Israel... etc
