| Have any of you folks noticed what a big head Blagojevich has? Did this guy ever leave Junior High?? Hell, all of us guys had big heads in proportion to our bodies. The high school guys used to pick us up by our necks. Back when RZ and I were there, it was 7,8, and 9th grade. Now they have 8th grade graduation . . . still don't understand that, but oh well. | |

It was that way when your sis and I were there, too. All early teen boys have lollipop heads.

| I was 6' 2" in 7th grade, 6' 4" by the 9th. Some of the the high schoolers would have had to reach up to pick me up by the neck. But a couple of em knocked me down.
My height got me in big trouble once. I picked up one of the Diehl boys by his neck for being mouthy and when Mr Leo came to break it up I told him I didn't need any more short guys buttin in. That was the most pissed I ever saw Leo get and I was "promptly" sent to feel the wrath of Mr Karl's paddle.

By the way, I wish I would have had the balls to pick up one the Diehl's by the neck. I probably would have choked him to death. I have since met some of their family and just love them. You just never know. Oh, geez RZ, you're a pretty big man. The best I could do was 5'8"

| I'm tall, but lean. Ole Leo was furious at the short guy comment, but hey, he is when you're 6'4". You're right John was the calmest of those boys. It was Bill I had picked up that day. Can't recall what he said, but it just seemed to call for a mild choking.
I remember when they tried to get me and another guy pissed at each other claiming we were saying things about each other. I questioned the other guy and we figured out their game and told them if they wanted to see a fight we could just knock them around for awhile. Instead of division they created an alliance and it stayed pretty quiet after that.

| No, but I had this 9th grade English teacher at Felten who was really hot. I can't for the life of me remember her name. Then there was our band teacher at Kennedy ( Mrs Grauber) we would all stand by the window and watch her run back from the main school building to the building housing the band room across the parking lot. Bouncy Bouncy

Played tuba in the band house a couple of times . . . guess they needed tuba players to draft a protestant fat kid to help out. I enjoyed it, though.

May have been Sue Boldra, recently retired, I here. Loved her. Nice set of cans on her, too.

Nope. South end near the board. I thought it was shallow on the ends and deep in middle. |

There was a nice looking blond English teacher at HJH I think her name was Krull that wore low cut tops and all us boys would go up to her desk to ask questions because she'd always lean over to read the question. That was special.

That's right. It was the first public pool I went to and before I learned to swim I stayed on the North half where it was 2 to 3 foot deep on the North end to about 4 or 5 in the middle. Then when I taught myself to swim (dogpaddle at first) I started using the board on the South end which was deepest. Typical small public pool dimensions.

I remember that, too... for myself anyway. Wasn't the deep end only 6' deep, too? Kinda scary with a diving board.

| No, I lived right by Masseys on the corner of 18th and Pine. I spent my summer afternoons in that pool. I think suzy lived close too. But most of the smaller pools weren't that deep. Except CS Estates pool. For a tiny pool it had depth. | |

| We lived a block or so from TMP, but the mudhole was free and had a killer slide and playground (so we thought) for when we got bored with swimming and avoiding baby "dumplings" that were pushed through the hole in the wall between the two pools. | |

| Killer slide is right. I remember that park falling apart so badly that I ripped a pair of jeans ankle to hip on a broken side rail of the slide and got a big splinter in my ass on a teeter totter. I remember a little girl about 3 or 4 falling from the top of the slide right over my head and landing with a thud flat on her back. She was standing at the top and her brother was above me trying to push her because she was scared. Her daddy rushed over and grabbed her up to run to the hospital. Hope she was ok.
On a lighter note, I remember some older boys at Massey with these "huge" water balloons one day. I took a broken balloon home and asked dad where to get them and he got very embarrassed. LOL
