| So, 6-0 going into the homecoming game with Great Bend tonight. Anyone think they are going to pull off another win and make it 7-0? | |

| Great Bend has never lost to Hays under their current coach, but their talent level doesn't seem to be the same as in years past, and the coaching change in Hays has done wonders. GB pulled off a minor miracle a couple of weeks ago by coming from a 27-7 halftime deficit to beat Dodge City, 28-27. However, the way Hays dominated Dodge last Friday indicates that they have a stronger team. I think the best thing that Coach Cornelson has done for HHS is that he has them believing that they will win each week. All they have to do is go out and execute the game plan, and good things happen.
That being said, their biggest test of the season will come next week at Hutchinson.

| Oh I agree. I suspect Hutch is gonna kill em down there. If the game had been here HHS might have had a chance.

Hutchinson hung 55 on KC Rockhurst and 63 on Salina Central. If HHS can play them closer than those teams did, it will be somewhat impressive. They will at least have a shot at the district's second playoff spot by beating Great Bend and McPherson. Then they need to hope someone can knock Hutch off before they have to face them again. However, with five straight state championships, Hutchinson's kids all know how to win in the playoffs.

Yep, that was the score. It was a good, hard hitting game to watch. I wish HHS had the front line on both sides of the ball that GB has. Except for a few plays, the amount of time the GB quarterback had to find a receiver was insane.

Several alumni went to the 30th reunion that had never been to one. It was just a night for things to happen.
