I nearly had a stroke.

sorry folks since my sooners were knocked out during the 2nd round i was wishing ku would be knocked out by the third round, the wife is happy though........it's her fault she is a gayhawk fan not mine

Just heard on the news that this is the first time in history that all four #1 seeds made it to the Final Four.

I bailed off my chair and was shouting and dancing around my apartment when that game went final. My friend that was here was as excited as I was. I have now had a few drinks to celebrate.

So.....now..... North Carolina. Noticed Roy at the game. Guess he wanted a good look at whoever he would be playing.

Yeah, they mentioned that several times during the game, but only once did I hear them mention that they've only used seeding since 1979.

Anyway...wow. They finally managed to play their mediocre tournament game and survive. Brandon's shooting sucked, they gave up way too many offensive rebounds and committed way too many turnovers. Not that Davidson's coach, who looks more like a televangelist than a basketball coach, didn't have an excellent game plan. He did. I'm just glad that the Hawks worked through the adversity today. It should help focus them for Saturday and (hopefully) next Monday.

Oh they were so off their game, I still don't know how they pulled it off. Curry certainly carried that team on his back. Crowd was behind them which always seems to psych KU out. But you have to hand it to them for keeping up in spite of KU's poor showing and Davidson's persistance.

....the coach did look like a televangelist.

I hope they feel a home court advantage in San Antone.

We were at Buffalo Wild Wings in Wichita. The whole place errupted when that final shot missed! It was tooooo close for comfort!

so do ya'll jayhawk fans still see roy as a traitor, if so will the jayhawk fans at the game game trash roy from the seats ......not sure what i'm trying to say here, it is in my head just not finding it's way to the fingers.

I don't know about others... but noone at my house is still upset with Roy. He did what he did (and its what lots of coaches do from year to year). Our initial disgust with him wasn't that he left, it was that he said he was staying- then left. But that didn't take long to get over.
We don't trash talk Roy... I myself am happy that we got Bill. I hope they do well on Saturday. If there is a group to get it done, I think it is this one!

I heard an interview with Roy yesterday on this subject on WIBW Sports Sanity. He totally understands that people are always going to have hard feelings, but he wants people to know how much he still loves KU. He said that this will be the first game he hasn't rooted for them since he left. The decision to go to UNC was more based on personal considerations than professional. His wife is from Carolina, they have a lot of family there, and he lived and worked there for many years prior to his taking the Kansas job.

He also made the point that when he holds his basketball camp in the summer, the campers are allowed to wear UNC gear and KU gear. No other college is allowed.

As was said from a NC perspective. He understands they loved him, hence the bitterness when he left. The bitterness was a viewed as a compliment....

NC is going to kill KU and Memphis will lose to UCLA. Then UCLA is going to kick some NC ass.

It's looking good for KU....man I'm glad...it would suck to hear about losing to the greatest come back in college basketball history every time some team, in the future, gets a large lead.

Every team has problem players. Look at the Bengals, for instance. But only the Raiders are proud of it.
