But what about the rights of the children?

I agree, that we can't legally limit family sizes and we shouldn't. I agree that it is dumb to think that people should be qualified to have children.

But I think it is wrong that this lady can endanger this children, which she has done by having 8 premature babies. Hopefully I am wrong, hopefully this lady is able to support these kids (as for not supporting herself and her other kids, I believe she is receiving government aid in the form of food stamps and other government funding, also her parents say they have helped her out a bunch financially, that would lead me to believe she can't provide for herself), maybe this will be that ABC afternoon fell good story, they have already become the longest living octuplets, so maybe they will make it.

I just don't see how they can without some serious help.

NBC paid handsomely for their interview. A million dollar for a porn shoot, when so many do it fo free? She created for herself a cottage industry. Just like the 17 and counting, and small people big world TV shows. Free house offers, and who knows what else?

And any lady who has premature babies is child endangerment? What if she only had 1 premature baby? Okay, what if she had 2 premature babies, twins. Triplets? Where is the line for child endangerment? 6? 7? Because 8 is obvious child endangerment, is it not?

In honor of the mother of the octuplets,
Denny's is offering a new breakfast meal:
you get fourteen eggs, no sausage,
and the guy next to you has to pay the bill

heard tonight that a big nursing group that helps premature kids etc offered to give her round the clock nursing care for the kids, help them with developmental issues and all that - and she turned them down because it might become an issue with the reality tv show. That is wrong in SO many ways.

I don't think it's ANY lady, she already had six kids she should've known better that when she decided to implant the rest of her eggs and it came up that there were already 5 babies in her first sono. She could've very easily done selective reduction(in her care which was probably needed) If I had 6 children I wouldn't even THINK about doing another IVF. She put those children in danger before they were even born. She was on Dr. Phil this past wednesday and thursday, watched them both and I still think she's a moron. She hid the pregnancy from her own parents for awhile, and then finally had to tell them she was having 8.

She has some major mental issues that I also think will endanger her kids.

She brought these kids into the world with a job... no child should ever be put in that situation.

Which ones of the 8 would you have aborted?

at least 4-5... she knew she couldn't even afford her children now, they have that option for women who would be overwhelmed with children. She should've used it. It would've saved the gov't thousands of dollars.

You can't know whether or not you'd use selective reduction unless you've been in that situation. Personally, I think she's nuts for having the first 1-6, let alone the 8.

We will all get to pay for Octo-mom's poor choices. She did her job--she had 'em, we get to pay for 'em. Rewarding bad behavior has gotten to be the norm instead of an exception in this world. ---And don't you dare bitch about it or else you will be deemed a child-hater and ungodly. Just suck it up and pay your taxes--millions of deadbeats are depending on you!
