| And there is the re-application of the CUP and a request to waive the moratorium on the wind project. Despite the fact hat the only major change to the plans was the elimination of the neighbors First Amendment Rights, Dennis and Vernon decided to shove it through. | |

| No, plowboy. If I felt that way I would tell you a little more directly. I was trying to insinuate that I am tired of Dennis and Vernon deciding to shove it through. It seems as if they listen to only a very few people, and are telling us to shove it. | |

| OK, thats your opinion, fine, but what about Perry it sure seems that he is listening to a very few people himself. Those few he's listening to have a hidden agenda themselves. | |

| I don't think that the agenda is hidden at all. Fix the problems with zoning before granting CUPs. Right now we are handing out a blank check. We are not even accepting what the company offered. | |

just where in the hell are these trees under I-70 you keep bitching about ? Exactally! They planted them, after they wouldn't grow, they capped 'em with concrete.

| Justoo, you also wrote previously that a "large group" of people opposed zoning and the windfarm.
Just how do you define "large group"?

| A large group may be defined as more than 250, 500, 1,000 ... The term "large group" is vague and open to interpretation. In the case of the wind farm "hearing" it was initially scheduled to be held in the courthouse. The room it was intended to be held in was standing room only. People were packed in very tightly and the crowd overflowed into the hallway. Those in the hall could not hear or participate. It was determined that peoples right to attend would be infringed upon if the hearing was held at that location. The action was moved to a location on campus thanks to the generous offer of facilities by Ed Hammond. In my opinion, that is a large crowd.
Side note: Iberdrola's lawyers argued to keep the venue unchanged. The peoples right to attend and participate in governmental action was not, apparently, important to them.
I'll get to your other question in due time.

| Iberdrola's lawyers argued to keep the venue unchanged? Were you there? I was and didn't see you at either location. If you remember corectly wasn't the meeting cut short at the union because of bad weather and then reschueled at the fairgrounds at a later date. Side note: Iberdrola's lawyers never argued and I had a front row seat at the counthouse. | |

| Yes, I was there. At the courthouse to start the evening. And it did happen as I stated. We then went to FHSU and I along with Ed Hammond were the first two people in that building. I helped Eddy get out chairs and tables to start setting up for the crowd. As more people showed up they also helped in setting up chairs and tables.
Just because you didn't notice me does not mean I did not attend. And just because you don't remember that Iberdrola's lawyer argued to stay in the courthouse because the Hays Daily News had said that is where it would be held does not mean it didn't happen.

| Did you know that our zoning has 14 pages restricting how when and where to put up advertising signs and only 1 1/2 pages covering industrial wind projects? A link to a lot of infoUpfront, Read the link provided then ask specific questions. | |

| Hey G L O R I A ..lol...sorry I just had AM radio flashback...steinem. Sorry... but could you clue me in a little to the "tricks" of the local politicians and who those tricky folks are? You see I don't get the HDN, but I ussed to look at it online before they started charging to read the whole thing online. I have lived here most of my life and would imagine I have run across most of the people that are in the public. | |

| i love the hays daily... i have a forum where i get largely left alone.. heh heh... get to say what i want... and yet somehow feel stifled (cause they won't publish my blog hee hee). maybe i shouldn't have started this thread, but i was kind of impressed and angered by his audacity to engage in such juvenile behaviour (sp sorry, still french).i know something about juvenile behaviour... at 42 i'm getting to witness people becoming childlike again. but where do you go? where? when all of the people around you seem hellbent on watching the world implode? where? and where do you get to go for a redress of grievences? Where? can't name names here. cowardly that is. we can bitch about bush, or sebelius, but never close to home and so we all come on here with reservations. i guess there is a level, or a point or some indeterminate ideation of a quota where you don't matter enough to be talked about. good news for locals. cant say anything about your neighbor who's causing you grief because they aren't famous enough. hahahahahaha, the whole concept is hilarious. we are allowed the redress of only selective grievences... outstanding! | |

| Here's pretty much what I've determined. Most people don't care about people anymore. they care about saving money. If you feed the Wal-mart, you feed the out-sourcing of America. Remember to press "1" for English.. | |

| We have eased up a little on names. If they are in the public eye or if the name has been in the open records we allow names. Had the person who took your sign been charged, we would have allowed it to be printed. | |

Considering it was that very thing that caused the implosion of the other board Id say its best to quit bitching about it here. If you feel so stifled here, by all means go back to the HDN board.

| The downfall of the old board was due to persons who were in the public eye who were called out on personal lifestyles and/or personal views. Due to that stature, they were able to apply pressure to the admin of that site, therefore shutting it down.

| robert.... I'd like to be able to state opinions as I see them, and have already caught flak here for doing so. But remember that the decision to censor on these boards or by HDN is Constitutionally allowed since these boards and The HDN are not public forums provided by the state. | |
