Here's one from my past. I wore out the album it was on. But my reason for posting this is because watching the non-typical audience is almost as fun as the tune. I'd need a set of vise grips applied to the nads to hit those notes....

Geez, how did I miss that one? I used to listen to "Child In Time" on DP's "Made in Japan" LP. Wore it out, too. Lots of blistering songs on that LP. "Lazy" is one of my favorites.

Saw him at the Kansas City Music Hall in late 1980/early '81. He had his band, but also the Kansas City Philharmonic played with them on some songs and he directed the Philharmonic on some of his classical music compositions. Really a fantastic concert.

I bought a second Deep Purple In Rock album from a second hand store a few years back. After about 1000 plays my first one was in pretty bad shape. Even a chunk gone from the edge. My Machine Head album got plenty of rough party use too. They were one of the great bands of our day.

6. "Believe" -- Cher, 1999: My friend Phil from Las Vegas put it best when he said, "Rumor has it that Sonny Bono was listening to this while skiing when he chose the tree over another verse."
LMAO!!!!

Been ages since I heard that. For some reason it's not in my 70's collection, but I have to admit it was alot less irritating than some of the 70's crap. It's kinda funny how time changes alot of songs I didn't think much of then into nostalgia. But there's also those that just suck more with time.

I saw a TV show one time that had that song voted as "Worst Song Ever."

I'd have to argue that with these competitors.

Oh, are we including songs other than the 70's? Let me go buy a backup keyboard before I start typing.
Off the top of my head I gotta throw in "Achey Breaky Heart" "Don't Worry, Be Happy", "Karma Chameleon" and "The Macarena".
