Gas Prices

Thought I would start a thread to keep track of the local gas prices, to keep people aware of what they are. As of 6 pm today the wholesale cost of gas was 3.65/gallon.

Please feel free to post where the lowest prices are around town. I will try to update the wholesale price on a daily basis.

I don't think any one here will be getting gas at whole sale prices. You're quoting regular grade I presume?

We were getting gas at below wholesale for a short while.

I realize that, I am merely letting people know what the wholesale price is so they can expect the price increases. Yes this is regular grade fuel.

With these prices on gas, I'm grounded and will be for a while. I was wanting to get out and visit this summer. Go someplace new. Even out hang out at the lake. Go visit my sister's vineyard and have a purple party, dancing on the grapes and sampling some. NOPE I'M GROUNDED

Doesn't show Hays.

I don't know, click on Kansas, then Ellis county, then Hays. I found it, showed only Love's but usually there are 4-5 different locations listed. So sorry if I confused you. You listed your age as 95, maybe it's time for a new pair of glasses.

A friend of mine had his low gas light come on. Thought he's put in $10 worth. Low gas light still on.

I spoke to a friend in Anchorage this morning and gas in Alaska is at $3.98/ gal. A little further north of Anchorage, gas is at $5.35/ gal and is expected to reach $7.00/ gal by mid summer.

wholesale price of gas as of today was $3.88

as of friday the wholesale price of gas was 3.94/gallon

Retail SE Ks Thursday was $3.87, NE Ok was $3.69. Coming back Sunday, NE Ok was $3.87 and SE Ks was $4.02. The difference from one state to the other must have been from gas taxes. (?)

Kansas gas tax 25 cents

Oklahoma gas tax 17 cents

on top of federal 18.4 cents

Justoo- whats the Mizzou gas tax? Supposedly its cheaper on the MO side... we haven't ventured over to find out for ourselves.

According to this site, it's 17.6 cents/gal.

We're in Shawnee (which is west KC area--- Just south of Legends Mall/ Kansas Speedway.) We don't figure it wouldn't really be a savings just to drive over there specifically for gas. If we're going to be near the state line- we'll stop for gas, but we don't plan on going specifically for gas and gas only. There are still a few places on the KS side hanging on to 3.87- 3.95. (at least there were the other night when we filled. We do look on gas buddy to see what the cheapest place is along the route to wherever we're taking if we need gas though.

Are you liking it there? I need to get to the Legends again... just for the heck of it.

I do like it We haven't explored much yet, and Shawnee is quiet- Especially our part. I don't miss hays, but do miss some of the people (friends/ familly). I try to only watch the news once a day or I get depressed!

Holy King George!! Oregon and Washington state have hard alcohol taxed over $19.00 a gallon. Yet Oregon only taxes beer 8 cents a gallon. I notice DC is one of the lowest on alcohol taxes. If DC had alcohol taxes like Oregon the DC taxes collected from Ted Kennedy alone could save social security.

we paid 3.45/gal at Dillons this afternoon - thats after the 10 cent discount.

Casey's in Ellis 8/6/2008 $3.70 and other is $3.60 Must be cheaper in hays today!

Casey's in Hays has ehtanol in it's lower priced gas. The higher priced gas is the regular unleaded which is why we don't buy gas there. We get regular unleaded 10 cents cheaper at Dillons plus the 2 cent or 10 cent discount. By the way, $3.45 is still way too high for gas but it's a far sight better then $3.98.

Talked to my mother the other day and they were paying $3.32 in Springfield. Maybe the prices will move west.
