This could be further evidence that slider may have been right about one thing back in the old forum days. Here is what he said:

Back in the 1960s, the government decreed that no person could be held in mental institutions against their will unless they were declared to be a danger to themselves or others by a court. Consequently, the Menninger Institute had to release a lot of people onto the streets of Topeka. Many of those people settled there, intermarried, and their mentally defective offspring are now populating the city.

Either that, or it could have just been the families of two state legislators that got into the fight.
