| Yep, good post slickjay. The so called gun free zones and no gun signs in stores are an open invitation to lunatics. They might as well say "Free Kill Zone No Limit" and "Rob Us, We Can't Shoot Back" | |

| Not sure Columbine should have been included in the examples. You don't really want high school kids toting guns to class. Even if they were talking about teachers, there's always a possibility of kids stealing guns or gangs ( yes, they exist in schools in some places ) overpowering the teachers. Not to mention the hesitancy in using a gun against a student that many teachers would exhibit, which would more often than not prove fatal to the teacher. But by and large, conceal/carry laws are a good thing. | |

| Might be a few properly trained school administrators having access to guns, even if locked in an office safe might prevent, or at least reduce gang violence and Columbine type events. | |

But the media would make sure that everyone knew where and how the weapons are locked up, and that would be the first place hit by a gunman. Maybe a few more cops on hand would help. Better yet, a little parental responsibility.

Better yet, a little parental responsibility. One of my all time favorite movie lines was in The Battle Of The Bulge after a kid shoots at Colonel Hessler. The kids dad and nuns beg for forgiveness because he's just a boy who knows no better. Hessler says "Release the boy...... Shoot the father."
