| If a pair of pants has no hem and they are too long, do you hem them or do you cut them off? | |

| They are 92% polyester and 8% spandex. I have three pair, think I will cut one pair, hem one pair and which ever looks best~I'll do to the third pair. | |

| I think it depends on how much too long they are. If its less than say 3", just hem them under, but if its more than 3" I would cut off what you don't need, but leave 1 inch for a hem at the correct length. | |

| Does anyone really pay that much attention, or care about this? I don't mean to be rude, but doesn't worrying about whether someone elses pants are hemmed correctly either make you very bored or a gay man? | |

Why is it, rude questions are always prefaced with don't mean to be rude, but...? Seems to me, he's just trying to be helpful.

I don't notice so much on other people... but being that I'm a short kid, I always have to hem my dress pants. They're always to long. I doubt anyone would've said anything if they had noticed.

| I learned how to sew doing leather projects. Know a little about what makes clothes look like like they should. Doesn't take much. One of my sewing machines was made in the fifties. The other was made in Germany in 1928. So I am not just sewing, I am utilizing antiques.
I wouldn't go to a BS concert with anyone, ever.

| Didn't mean to suggest those who know what's sewing correctness are bad either justoo. Just that anyone who really made a fuss over it needs a hobby. Good to know you wouldn't go see Babs. LOL I saw two very "fashion conscious" guys on TV once talking about their "Babs" record collection and how excited they were to see her perform in person. It was a television moment if I ever saw one. | |

| I learned to embroider in about 7th grade. Had to cause mom and my sisters refused to embroider obscene words on my jacket. | |

| Have you ever heard of stitch witchery? You can find it at Wal-Mart,it costs about $2.00. All you need is a steam iron and a damp towel. Pull pant leg inside out, measure your hem and presto, your done... | |
