Moving

As some of you might already know, i'm moving to Kansas City. This will be my last night online for a week. I won't have internet access back until I get moved and get me a different computer. I'm getting pretty excited about finally leaving this little german colony they call Hace America. Talk to yall later.

Good luck, DX. Just out of curiosity, how long was your stay in Hays?

I stuck around for almost exactly 4 years. I still think Hays is a nice town and all, but Wichita was a nice change. I imagine that KC will be, too.

I have lived here for almost 15 years. I had the opportunity to leave a couple of years back but a certain c**t didn't want to leave. Well now I'm not with that c**t so I decided now was the time to move on.

Wow... 15 years. That pretty much makes you an honorary Chermin.

I reckon I have a different perspective in that I've lived in a fairly large city for all of my adult life (ever since I crawled out from under that rock in Southern Appalachia) except for my time in Hays. I was kinda glad to get back to the concrete jungle. I feel more at home in a place like this.

Good luck. One of my nephews is in KC in real estate. Seems to like it there. I like big cities, but wouldn't want to fight traffic on those fast paced roads every day, especially on icy roads. Small towns are bad enough when the ice comes. I also like being able to travel a couple miles and be out in clear sight of things. Tall swaying skyscrapers you can keep. I'm not fond of being that high up especially after seeing the WTC towers collapse.

For what it's worth, I actually feel safer driving on icy roads here in Wichita than I did in Hays. Hays is full of OLD PEOPLE who can't drive worth a shit.

Hays driving never bothered me. But I remember driving down a busy Wichita street once doing 40 only to have some dimwit pull out in front of me, drive 20 feet, and pull back into the next driveway. If anyone had been following close behind me they'd have nailed me because I had to slam on the brakes to avoid rear ending that simple minded baboon that was too lazy to walk 20 feet.

We have old farts here, but Wichita has us beat for schitzo's and dimwits though. Yeah Hays has them, but in lesser numbers and generally driving lower speeds in town.

I think that the worst drivers in the nation have moved to the Phoenix area and are on the streets at all times, however I have to go to L.A. for a few days and I always come home thinking this is not so bad. Talk about schitzos.

YEAH!!!!! DX is moving to my neck of the woods... I doubt that DZ and I be in the same zip code, so we won't be able to make a new forum with our zip code. I guess we'll come to this site and talk about KC stuff... I hope noone minds!

Its sad that i'm addicted to the internet. I have been without it since Monday and i'm going nuts. I had to come down here to the library to get my dose of the superhighway. Anyway Monday is the big day for moving and by Wednesday or Thursday of next week i hope to have internet back. Hey DZ we won't be in the same zip code but how about we just use the 913 area code. LOL

Maybe we should just vow to wear shirts with our initials on them... incase we should ever bump into each other around the metro. Never mind, won't work. I'd spell it wrong

I finally got moved just trying to get everything unpacked no w. This has been an exhausting week. I have until Monday to recoup before I start work here.

Okay so who else lives in the KC area? (Lawrence is considered part of KC in my book.)

We could start t.he 913 site, i think Lawrence is in the 913 area code or we could just refer the site as the Nor'Easters

My vacation ends tomorrow and I start work here in KC. What is really nice is that i'm not missing Hays one bit.
