| Since we very rarely get to go anywhere without our daughter, my hubby wants to take me to the movie this weekend for our anniversary. However, I have NO idea what the going rate is for a babysitter! We'll be leaving her for about 4 hours because we want to get supper, too. How much do you get charged or do you offer the sitter??? | |

| How old is she, and would it be in your home or the sitters? A couple of my nieces do sitting. | |

| I have a five year old and a friend has offered to sit, but told me to pay "what I usually pay." Since I don't usually go out without her, I have no idea! Do people pay minimum wage these days or half that or what? I just have no idea. | |

| I'd think anywhere from $10-$15 would be good (and that sounds like a lot to me). | |

| In NE Ks. it's anywhere from $2-$3/hr per child, depending on the age of the child. Babysitting for someone to go out, is around $5/hr per child, but I think that's excessive.
*I never charged my friends, if they wanted to go out for dinner and a movie. That's just me, though.

| It's between $2 and $3 here also. I always charge what I charge for daycare, which is $2 bucks an hour. | |
