You ridicule everyone Bighead. But back to topic.
Has anyone noticed Tiller is seen by many as the evil one without looking deeper into it? Tiller only did what lawmakers allowed. And no matter what your opinion of abortion is, shooting Tiller is like shooting a dog on the loose without paying any attention to who let it off it's leash.

I find it interesting that few people had anything good to say about Dr. Tiller until he was murdered. If he had been killed in a car wreck instead of shot dead in a place of worship, I don't believe it would have created nearly as much latent adoration for the man. I know of three different women who had pregnancies terminated by Dr. Tiller, and all three of them are haunted to this day by what could have been; should have been. I'll never know how a person could do that for a living. I understand and appreciate the fact that a woman should be able to do with her body what she feels is the proper thing----using abortion for birth control is not one of them. Cases of incest or rape are exceptions.

So today I heard on television some guy comparing the shooting of Tiller to the shooting of Martin Luther King and the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Seriously??? Come on. Like I said I'm sorry he was gunned down but that act doesnt even compare to the significance of these other two.

I don't feel any differently about him now than I did before he died.
I did hear today that the family has decided to close his clinic. The guy who "allegedly" shot him said "good."
I still don't feel any differently. I personally could not (regardless of medical emergencies or defects etc.), but I don't make anyone elses decisions or walk in anyone elses shoes.

You gotta be kiddin. Wow what a cult following this guy had.
I saw a couple women talking on the news. They were saying that with Tiller's clinic gone the health of women in the area would be at risk.
So ok, someone fill me in here. Just what things having to do with women's "health" are available in an abortion clinic that can't be obtained from 100 other medical clinics?
The Tiller groupies should just say it like it is. They should say women (and girls) will now have to go all the way to KC for an abortion instead of feeding us a pile of manure about how women will be forced to travel further to get needed "health care".
Yeah I know, they are also worried some women are going to try at home coat hanger jobs, or maybe the wand attachment of their Hoover, but that's why there's the Darwin awards.

The only one between Wichita and KC?
I mean yeah, I know he didn't just stand there with a vacuum hose in his hand saying next all day, and he may have been a very fine OB/GYN. But these women in the interviews were talking like women were in dire jeopardy from lack of health care because of this when I'm sure Wichita is full of OB/GYN's nurse practitioners, and a host of other professionals that can see to the "health" needs of the area. They just gotta hit KC for the abortions.
What the "choice" crowd needs to do now is launch a full scale campaign to get all those women to use contraception to prevent that bad health instead of relying on Tiller to make their mistakes go away.

The only thing I'm going to weigh in on this with is on a strictly scientific standpoint.
Dr Tiller did not kill babies. He aborted fetuses. A fetus and a baby are not the same thing. A fetus is a parasite (no negative connotation, just calling a spade a spade) in the woman's body. We call fetuses babies all the time because it makes us feel better, not because it is true.

Your parasite concept is interesting, and basically true. Some parents consider their offspring parasites until they reach 18 and can be thrown out of the house.

But you were still you before birth which is scientific fact. What you call yourself at that stage doesn't change that. You do not go through metamorphosis like a frog or a butterfly. Once you begin to form you only advance in stages, you do not change from one form of creature to another, and the only difference with the minute before you were born and the minute after you are born is that you become an air breather. You actually go through a great deal of even more dramatic changes from infant to adult but you are always you.
When I put a watermelon seed in the ground it is not yet a watermelon plant. When it first breaks the soil it is called a sprout, or seedling. But from the time it breaks out and comes through the surface it is and will always be a watermelon plant even though it doesn't look anything like one at first.

Well not quite. You won't be your neighbor, but he could be you. Crazy as cloning sounds it might be cool to clone a lost pet. And the science of building new organs from your own cells is great. Could end deaths from most cancer and diseased organs if perfected. I'd like to grow some new lungs.
And if were gonna talk future science I think it'd be nice to take the mind of a really desperate girl who thinks you are her dream man and put it in the body of the hottest girl you ever saw. I'd donate generously to the science.

Cloning is simple with plants... just cut the tip off and put it in some water. It'll root and grow a new plant.
Wonder if the same would work with a wiener dog. Thinking maybe if I cut off one of THOR's stumpy little legs and put it in some water (or maybe a bowl of chili) it'll take root and grow a new wiener dog.
Personally, I'm very in favor of cloning. I have real-world experience in the matter- I was cloned without my consent... but my Clone turned out pretty good. The world gets twice the benefit from my magnificent combination of genes. Twice as many machines get fixed.
Have you noticed lately that the world is spinning a bit more smoothly? Two heads of THIS magnitude in close longitudinal proximity are bound to create a radial imbalance- which is why things have been wobbly ever since my Clone returned from Korea. But once again distance has balanced the planetary counterweights. Until late this Summer. When you feel the Earth's gravitational field shift in such a way as to cause a tingle up and down yer leg... when men get vertigo and women swoon... it means that my Clone has graced Kansas with his presence. For a moment (or several, if we stop for gas), Hays really will be at the gravitational centroid of this hemisphere..
