While I didnt agree with his practices, I knew George when I lived in Wichita back in the late 80's. As a person he was a nice man. Sad to see this happen.

I'm sure he and God are talking it over.

It's really no surprise though, considering the decades-long campaign by Good Christians to 'get' Tiller at any cost.

The ironic thing about it is that they have only been targetting someone who worked within the laws. The KS legislators and Margaret Sangers of the world are who made abortion on demand possible.

I'ver been reading opinions about this. It has not only brought applause from anti-abortionists, it's seems to be like a celebration day for those asswipes claiming our founders meant America to be only for Christians. One even claims he has read "numerous" statements by "some" of our founders where they declared that this must be a Christian nation.

I guess they avoided reading (or ignored) much of what Jefferson, Franklin, Madison, Monroe, Adams, or Paine had to say. Many of our founders were deists. They believed in a Universal god, but not the biblical one of Christianity. They believed Christ was a man who likely existed, but no son of God. Our so called modern nation can be so ignorant.

Nice of you to admit that since some on these boards seemed to put me in with the moralist dicks when I didn't agree that abortion should be looked at like having a wart removed. Quite a few nasty bastards on both sides. Unfortunately that's the ones that get all our attention. Most I know approve of it for emergency, rape, severe birth defects and so on. I simply don't agree with most abortions because it's done rather than taking the responsibility to avoid pregnancy to begin with.

The only ones I know of that want total bans are religious nuts with no credibility in any area as far as I'm concerned, and the only ones I know that support abortion anytime for any reason tend to be either feminists who have a habit of whining anytime a man has any opinion, and those who will support anything that pisses off a conservative.

Regardless of everyones stance, it's the radicals on both sides that always make a mess of things. It's like the Hatfield McCoy fued with them. No real reason for the fight except that both sides insist on being right and refuse to give an inch. Mix that with insanity and the results are like this.

Although there are none posting here, on other sites and on comment sections some say it was a justifiable murder.

I guess it could all come down to a persons viewpoint. Some will see it as justifiable from the angle of protecting the unborn. Others will see it as murder as it took a life. I think the same could be said for wars, people died and were killed to protect others from whatever evil was happening at the time and others would say that people died needlessly and that all possibilities to find a workable solution were not used. It really is very simple however, in that man has always been violent throughout history and will resort to violence to support ones own cause. I see nothing happening that will liklely ever change that. People in general are stubborn and will not compormise, no matter what side of an issue they may be on and eventually violence will occur because of those differences. Even chimpanzees have been documented as killing rivals in the wild, as have lions and many other territorial animals. We may be more advanced than wild animals in many ways but we still have that killer instinct.

I guess I don't see the shock and surprise in this........He's been a target for MANY years...

The same people rally in support of war every chance they get, support the death penalty despite knowing about DOZENS of innocents released from death row once DNA testing became available (wonder how many thousands of innocent people were killed in years past?), and practically WORSHIP our military- whose primary purpose is to kill brown people in obscure goat-nations for profit.

So shooting Tiller is par for the course. And despite what they say- and even what they might THINK- it has little to do with protecting innocent life. Who wants to take a bet on whether or not this murderer has adopted any unwanted kids? Odds are he's just like the VAST majority of anti-abortion Christians who want to pay lip service to protecting children and like to feel all morally superior- but can't be bothered to walk the walk.

IMO, in most cases, being anti-abortion has NOTHING to do with the 'sanctity of life'. It's all about control. They fear the pussy, so they need to control it. And they see women as little more than broodmares.

As far as her body, her choice goes. It's "her" body when she has the opportunity to use birth control to prevent herself from becoming a 9 month hotel for the "baby's body". A separate living entity with a heart, brain, etc. is no longer "her" body. Just housing a baby as it grows does not make it her body or property as has been demonstrated by women who have acted as surrogate mothers.

I don't fear or resent women. I'm rather fond of women. That is women who want to be women. Feminists are women with a chip on their shoulder. For someone to kill another person for for whatever they choose to believe in and choose NOT to believe in is just WRONG!!!
