It will be a News/Talk station.

It is *NOT* owned nor operated nor affilliated in any way with Eagle Radio.

It's about time the news/talk format comes west of Salina.

Hey BB.. Any talk yet of the programming? Will it be the typical right wing Limbaugh talk? Will there be any local shows?

anyone ever listen to the show pages in time on kvgbam or 1590 am be nice to get a show like that for hays. the one they have is two old timers, the local historians and the host talking about everyday life from the late 1800's on up

This should be a nice change to the current "set your clock by what song is playing at the same time everyday" radio stations we have now.

as long is it is not a right wing neocon station and allow a mix of views I will listen.But yes it is a nice change from what we have now.

Trust me, the people behind this venture know what they're doing and have the resources to back it up.

I would expect this to be a quality, professional presentation. News/Talk on FM will fill a programming void which has existed for years in Hays area radio.

Same songs and times of day sure occur alot.

UPDATE: It's coming! Should be operational within the next several days.

Keep those radios on 105.7FM. Very soon, you will hear something besides static and the occasional Christian station from Herrington :-)

I checked yesterday and still nothing.

I'm still waiting and still checking, no 105.7FM as of today. Any update on the status of the station?

Things have been delayed a bit. Seems like there's always unexpected snags with any new project.

Hays already has plenty of holier than thou right wingers who want law by the bible and whiney liberals who think we all need spoon fed and controlled by a leftist government. What it needs more of are real libertarians. Not liberals or conservatives pretending they're libertarians so long as it fits their agendas.

I agree....anything to the either extreme is annoying...I also used to listen to a very liberal station that was just as bad.... I agree with the Libertarian party on many issues such as personal freedoms....

If you appreciate the Libertarian point-of-view (as I do), I would suggest giving Neal Boortz a listen.

Boortz is based at WSB/Atlanta, but syndicated nationally by Cox Radio (his parent company.)

As for not wanting more Conservatives or Libertarians...perhaps if there were more in office, y'all wouldn't be paying such high taxes in Kansas and receiving very little in return.

Boortz was alright, but it's been forever since I found him on a local station. KSAL used to air his show, but dropped it in '03 or so, about the same time they dropped Dr. Laura (which was fine with me that she was gone). Haven't been in KSAL range for 4 yrs, so don't know if they brought either of them back.
