Montana fires a warning shot over states’ rights

HELENA, Mont. - Montana is trying to trigger a battle over gun control — and perhaps make a larger point about what many folks in this ruggedly independent state regard as a meddlesome federal government.

Interesting strategery. I hope they're successful.

But I doubt they will be.

At least not everyone is accepting totalitarian rule without question.

This is the sort of thing that gives bitter conservatives a hard-on... but accomplishes little else.

Probably true Bighead. But it might accomplish something if the bedwetting liberals you helped vote in didn't launch a media blitz to make it sound like everyone in Montana is frothing at the mouth and eager to mow down the masses with their evil weapons. And that will happen.

I think we should just leave the 19 people in Montana alone to do as they please.
