Can someone PLEASE explain this to me...................little words please

Make sure your antivirus software is up-to-date (any up-to-date mainstream antivirus will catch this bug). Run a virus scan. That's all you really NEED to do.

Journalists have made a big deal out of this, but it's quite likely that nothing significant will come of it. There have been quite a few of these big virus scares... and the only ones that ever turned into a big deal were reported AFTER the fact. In other words... journalists ain't hackers- they know how to write a good gloom&doom article, but they don't know much about computers.

All that said- whatever you do- DON'T do a google search and go to some random website offering a free 'removal tool' for the conflicker bug. You'll likely get a load of spyware instead. This is a common tactic that basement-dwellers use to capitalize on virus scares.

if you are running current AV software and don't open strange emails you should be fine

it affect all windows based system so Explorer is it doorway in. But if you are current with antivirus then you should be ok. Also try using Firefox for a browser less issues like this
