| Story in the Hace Daily. I know this producer and he is a great guy but not someone you want to mess around with. I wonder why the thefts did not occur when Kansas crude was around 80 dollars per barrel? | |

| Quoted from HDN: "Brungardt said he's taken steps to protect against theft, specifically his pumper is keeping close watch on the leases and gauging the tanks every day."
That is a pumper's job to check the tanks each and every day. I hope he's doing more than just that. That does suck though. I really don't like how people behave when times get tough, it's scary.

| Really...back in the early 80's they had to gauge the tanks every day and report exactly how much oil was there. | |

If you know the lease you don't always gauge everyday. But that is usually when you notice something missing.

| This is nothing new. And there's also been assholes who leave valves open and make a big mess too. | |

| Pretty crude is the way some tank truck left his dump gate open or back valves and strung crude oil (Basic Sediment) West on 18 at Plainville. Do I send my clean up costs to the state or the water truck company....people like that (hauler) are what ruin it for the whole kansas oil industry. Where is trooper K ? | |

They did. There were multiple thefts in Ellis County while the prices were high.
