Ive used them in the past and not been satisfied with them at all. If you rub the bird down really well with a stick of butter before you roast it and baste it about every 45 minutes it will be pretty moist Ive found. BUT, I always put the stuffing inside the turkey and this also helps with moistness. Smile

I always bake my turkey upside down to get the breast meat really juicy and moist. The dark meat is moist any ways. It's unbeleiveably good breast meat this way. Other wise I don't even eat the white meat. I baste often. Baking it with a stick of butter in this inside.

Yes, you can use oven cleaner as long as it isn't a self-cleaning oven! I can't think of any interesting corn recipes.

I would just take the batteries out of the smoke detectors and remember to put them back in when your done cooking. I always had a smoke alarm that would go off whenever I was in the shower. I always figured those things distinguised between smoke and steam.

The next day, take the leftovers, All of them, layer them in a cassarole dish with potatoes on top, pour on any left over juice, peirce the potato layer to allow the moisture in, bake for an hour at 325 degrees. Serve with gravy.
