- How about all the AllTel crap in your contacts list? 5 Alltel #s that I will never call, but I am forced to view it every time.
Which ones are those? I know of the number that you can dial to find out how many minutes you have used so far each month. No good reason to ever call that number. Also, the number that takes you to the payment system. Again, no reason to ever use that, since we get everything for free. However, if you want to erase them, on most phones you should be able to choose the offending number, choose options and then erase contact. Much the same as you would erase an ex boyfriend or girlfriends number. Again that should work on most phones. \ (hint: I got that from the manual of my phone)

At some point, they clicked the "yes" button when asked "do you agree to these charges." Do you really think that these companies just put those charges on willynilly? The consumer does have the option to not push "yes."

- that's another reason i hate alltel...seriously if we have alltel on whatever phone we should be able to bluetooth to anyone...it's just crazy...i mean why even put the damn feature on the phone if we can't even use it half the time
It's not just Alltel on the bluetooth. I've tried it with phones from different carriers and it don't work either. Yep. damn all the other companies too. again, Motorolla put the block on the ability to bluetooth ringtones to minimize liability issues. Damn them.

yeah I know, it's an industry standard. If I had it my way we would cancel their phones comepletely but I am a minority in my house on that opinion.

| Wait 'till the next "BIG" thing. In the not to distant future, major carriers will do away with getting phones cheap in exchange for a contract, and replace it with getting a phone for cheap in exchange for you agreeing to receiving direct advertising sent directly to your phone. | |

I guess I don't see how this is a problem of business practices.... A service is offered. Someone uses that service. A bill is charged. Like buying toilet paper at Walmart.
