We Have A Trash Problem

Heard the the company that hauls our trash to Topeka got the tags pulled off of their vehicles by the Hiway Patrol and the Sheriff's dept.

That could pose a problem for anybody that relies on the transfer station for anything.

And we scooped the Hays Daily on another story.

Why in the world is your trash trucked over here?

When our landfill filled up the city decided not to expand it. Probably because of the litigation related to the polluted ground water that people near there experienced. Hays trucks their trash further than any other community in Kansas.

When we have a hauler that can keep his trucks on the road.

If it's a crooked outfit or outlaw our City will deal with them, it figures.....

What do you have to do to get tags pulled? I never heard of that happening.

I am not sure of the reason in this case. Possible reasons could include the failure to pay fines, property taxes (tag fees), or vehicle insurance. There may be other reasons I am not aware of.

I don't know about "pulling tags", but motor carrier inspectors could've shut the trucks down for mechanical problems.
