Anyone have any old,red kitchen items??

My new kitchen is all done in old,50's style diner stuff decor-I am finding (and spending)a small fortune online on everything and was wondering if anyone had a anything kitchy.............

this may sound crazy..I've only been in one antique store,in Ellis a long time ago,but I loved it!!!I had forgotten about them!!!!thank you,I forgot there was stores really since I started internet shopping


Suz,no.Her place is still not done and we are driving eachother crazy sooooooooo she helped us get a brand new single wide and we're putting it behind her.It will be moved to it's spot Mon morn.A safe,comfortable distance but still close enough to help her out

not so lucky,but then for storms and storage she's right behind us, it is quite big though 1200 sf.We wanted to put it on a lot where she put her modular but they only want doubles,mods put on the tract,which is understandable.We still have the great views of the country though,it all worked out!!!I'm packed and ready to go!!!!!

You need some red checkered curtains and table cloth to go with your 50's style diner. I know some one who could make you some!!!

Wow, didn't they have quite a few? I knew Tim Kinderknecht closed Sille's, but I thought there were others.

Yeah, besides Silles, now Kevy Lee's Diner, there was the Wiesner Antique Mall which just closed, Twila's place was where the second hand store is now in the 1000 block of Washington, Wagon Wheel antiques was where Smoky Hill Photography is now at 812 Washington, the Lutheran preacher and his wife had one on the corner of 9th and Washington, Scottish Antiques is now back in Hays, and there was another guy set up for a short time in the 1000 block of Washington. Only ebay sellers here now.

i miss ellis.alot.

Wilky, I did some work at 5 & Diner this past week and thought about your post. Just hope you don't have the 50's music to go along with your decor. That just about did me in. Guess I'm not into Bee Bop or whatever. The decor is pretty awesome.

you know what's funny is i used to work in an adult superstore with movie booths in the back,it was more of a gay men's store than anything--lots of fun i tell ya!!!!!

Wilky... I think you need to pull some Coca Cola items into your decor. There are some pretty cool tin posters out there... bet you could find some cheap on ebay!

Coca Cola decor is really awesome! I have a very large collection of Coca-Cola stuff and it's really easy to come by. People find out you collect it, and it's like they find it for you everywhere.

Yeah Coke stuff and lots of late Deco era plastics and chrome are excellent. Bright red green and yellow plastic stuff in deco style geometric patterns are perfect.

They have a 1950's kitchen stove that looks brand new... would be perfect 50's look. $250.00 I think.. Wish I could buy it!!

Wilky do you have a picture of your kitchen? Id love to see it. 50's decor is my favorite.
