This is Baxter. He was brought to the Humane Society in hays from the people at the state level. He has spent his entire life in a crate largely untouched by human affection. He was removed from a puppy mill and is one of the last remaining from that batch. He is an adorable dog and i just know he would overcome his extreme timidity (he cowers down pretty bad as it is when anyone approaches him),if he just had a stable and loving friend. I gave him a bath earlier and he seemed to come around a bit. when i went to put him back in the kennel he came back over and licked my finger (he wants to trust). I have no room for him or i would absolutely take him. If anybody who looks at this can find it in their heart to take him into their home i am sure you would find in him a loyal and loving friend. He is a small dog (around 10 lbs) and he is approx. 1-2 yrs old. thanx!!

How do you go about getting state involved in puppy mills? My mom's friend said she went to look at a puppy a few weeks ago and was shocked by the amount of dogs the woman had, and the smell was out of this world

I want to bring her in and care for the animals. I actually want to do this will all the kiddos, although my one year old probably wont start yet!
For me it is important to install volunteer work into them!
