| Where did it go?
Are most so wrapped up in their own life that they can't:
Hold the door for the person behind them?
Don't switch lanes at intersections?
Don't go through the Express lane with 30 items?
When did it end? | |

That's a much preferred option in my book rather than giving in to their every whim so they don't hate you. Raising spoiled, ungrateful brats is not going to work out in the long run. Do not get me started on some of the kids today. And some of their parents. Sheesh.

When did it end? I still do all those. No wonder I can't succeed in modern society.

| I walked with a friend to the newsstand the other night, and he bought a paper, thanking the owner politely. The owner, however, did not even acknowledge it. "A sullen fellow, isn't he?" I commented as we walked away. "Oh, he's that way every night," shrugged my friend. "Then why do you continue being so polite to him?" I asked. And my friend replied, "Why should I let him determine how I'm going to act?" | |

| thank the ACLU for all of it. just because some kid somewhere said thank you sir or maam, someone got offended and sued the kid and the parents and the ACLU probably stepped in to drag the shit through court saying the offended persons civil liberties was violated cause some kid said thank you to them tying up the courts of the land all the way to the top, and costing tax payers millons of dollars along the way. | |

| In the last two days, I have been driving along and someone parked on the side of the road has just opened up their vehicle and gotten out. Luckily, I didn't take off their doors or take them out. I always wait until no cars are around to open my vehicle. Is this something new? | |

I tend to hang near the center line of of the road when driving, but a guy I know does exactly the opposite. He'll pass so close to parked cars that he literally only misses side mirrors by 5 or 6 inches. Open a door in front of him and it's history.

| Back in the mid 80's I was roofing. Hot tar on a Main street business. I looked over the edge and saw a salesman from James Motor parking a brand new shiny red Firebird (with dealers plates) in front of the furniture store. Somebody that drives like Ratzilla's friend came by just as he opened the door.
That was a lot of fun to watch from my perspective. The two that were involved may not have enjoyed it as much. No one was hurt.
