| The neighborhood improvement initiatives that Hays Neighbors has implemented have been successful and a lot of fun to participate in. Another goal of this organization is to discover and preserve the history of this part of town. We are ready to embark on another partnership with Fort Hays State University.
The Department of History has recently acquired new recording and audio-video equipment and will have a small group of student historians ready to interview this fall as part of a new “history podcasting” class. A large number of history projects have already done audio podcasting, but video podcasting is fairly uncommon. This cooperative effort will be breaking new ground while it is saving the history of a community.
You can be a part of this also. If you could share additional topics, events, questions, and the names of the potential interviewees I will pass them along at the July meeting. If you aren't comfortable posting a potential interviewee's name, PM me with the info. | |

| I might have old photos or postcards of that part of town, as well as at least one piece of souvenier china with an image of the normal school. Might have other things, but maybe nothing the College doesn't already have. | |
