Nose Bleeds

A couple months ago, got up, was enjoying my morning cup of coffee, sudden nose bleed. Chalked it up to dry weather, yet still curious. Two nights ago, wrestling with the son, took headbut to nose. Nose bleed. Understood this time. Tonite, push-up contest with same son. Nose bleed. No trauma, just push-ups. WTF?

Would go to Dr., but will only hear. Quit smoking, eat healthier, and take this overly priced medication who's side effects are worse than your symptoms.

Any Idears?

put some carmex in your nose-it works for everything

My husband dealt with the same thing several years ago. The only way to get them to stop, was to have the vessels cauterized at the ER (of course, they always happened after hours). It happened 3 times.

put toilet paper in your nose, it wont bled until you pull the tissue out, then just re-plug it!!!

There is of course a product alread on the market designed to fit in openings and absorb blood.

think so, but I can't remember what it was.

My son gets nose bleeds too. At one point my daughter made me take him to the ER, they gave him a clip thing to put on his nose, told him to use tampons to stop it up. I tell him he needs to put a little water in his nose every now and then. Or breath in a cold damp cloth. ER didn't even suggest the cauterization.

You might go have your blood tested...... You could have low blood platlets..? Do you bruise easy? If you do take a lot of Ibuprofen, that or something else could cause a blood disorder. I got it and they put me on 90 mg. of prednisone a day for like 3 months.. Good luck.. get it checked out!!!!!!![i][b]

A guy told me to use Preparation H. But not with the applicator if it's been used elsewhere.....

saline spray,or ocean drops are very moisturizing and cheap-they may help,they're just good old fashioned saltwater

I have heard of the tampon use for stopping up the blood.

Quit pickin' yer nose and let Bubba have his way.
