Thomas More Prep Art department has some exciting news to be announced! We have been informed that Alice (Jiajing) Cao, class 2009, is a finalist in the Doodle for Google Contest. She was chosen as 1 of the 40 best entries in the entire country, from a pool of thousands of submissions. Alice has won a trip to the Googleplex in Mountian View, Ca to attend the awards ceremony. In addition to the trip, Alice's design will be displayed on the Doodle 4 Google site http://www.google.com/doodle4google, and will be voted on, via public vote, for one of the four National Finalist awards. Voting goes live on Monday, May 12th and closes Sunday, May 18th, so we are asking that you spread the word and vote, vote, VOTE!!!! Should she be one of the final four winners, she will win, in addition to the trip, a new laptop. If she places number one in the country she will also win a $10,000 scholarship to the college of her choice. Folks that's not all, if she is chosen as first place, her cooperating school, TMP-M, will receive a $25,000 grant for technology in their school. This is a huge opportunity for Alice and TMP-Marian. We are asking for as many votes for Alice's work as possible, so please spread the word to everyone you know!!

Hey everybody I just wanted to pass this along. TMP has been blessed with this very talented young lady. She is one of our international boarding students. She is in Kyle's class and this is the second national art competition that she has been a finalist in. Last year she won a $5000 scholarship for the "Redesign your School Contest" Please get online and vote for her entry. If she wins she will get a $10,000 scholarship and the school will receive $75,000 to be used for new technology!

well I voted but it wasn't for region 6 in the 10 to 12 group. I didn't like as well as I did the region 4 one, the saying reminded me of the old burma shave slogans

Just one of many small things I am willing to do to improve my community.

Most communities are not improved by a major event (Greensburg is an extreme example). Most are improved one little step at a time, by the citizens who care enough to get involved.
