| Not to be gross, but have there been any other women out here who have had a positive preg. test with these only to find out your really not preg.? I took two different brands a week ago and both said pregnate. This morning I woke up to heavy bleeding and clots. We went to the ER only to be told they found no signs of a pregnancy ever occuring. Would any of you recommend me still going to my OBGYN for a check up? I'm really embarrased that I went to the ER for my period!! I truly believe that I was pregnate but would like some input from other ladies out there...(like I said, I'm not trying to be gross just wanting some input) Sorry to all the men that read this | |

| first of all this is not gross it is just part of being a human. I would go see your GYN as soon as possible just in case you need a D&C. If your regular period is not a heavy as you had this morning then you had all rights too seek help. I NOT A WOMAN BUT I PLAY ONLINE LOLLOLOLOLOL | |

| I'd make an appointment with OBGYN just to be safe. Like Slick said, if you were pregnant, they may need to make sure with ultrasound that you don't need a D&C. The at home tests don't usually show a false positive. Have you taken another one since the ER visit? Breakthrough bleeding during pregnancy is a pretty common thing.
Good luck! | |

| Yes, you should go before then. Like Nitro said, you don't want it to be an ectopic pregnancy.
At least see if they'll do blood work to check your hormone levels.

| I agree with slickjay. Women shouldn't be ashamed of what they are. And shockingly enough, men do knowc about some of these things. Don't talk about your period at the dinner table though. Besides, I guarantee that men want to know if pregnancy tests can give false positives too. If things are unusual I'd suggest being checked further too. | |

| 41 is pushing it. Yeah I know, women quite a bit older have gotten pregnant, but alot of women hit menopause in their 40's too. They say the height of fertility is from puberty to the early 20's. Some researchers think the reason women often get the hornies so bad in their 30's and 40's is because nature is telling them to get busy making babies while they still can.
Men can still produce till very old age, but they claim there may be a greater chance of offspring having mental disorders if the father is over 45. Not sure why.

| I had my tubes tied 8 years ago and that increased my "hornies" it sure wouldn't come from the thought of getting pregnant! lol chuckle snort
But on a more serious note, you have some good advice here and glad that you are using it and that you asked!!!

Yeah, they say some women go nuts after menopause just because they feel safe. I was talking about biological induced urges, not psychological.

| They can do a blood test, that will tell you if you've had any of the prego hormones in your blood in the past 30 days. Go to the Dr, I would.. | |
