Sitting in a diasabled sub on the bottom of the ocean reminds me of the story Premature Burial. But I suppose hundreds of sailors on regular ships may have been trapped in air pockets on downed ships that waited to die in dark silence while nobody came too. Wouldn't want any part of the Navy.
