| Friend of mine ate at the one in Garden City (same owners). He and his girlfriend both got sick. Doesn't mean it would happen in Hays. Just sayin'. | |

| I thought the owner had resturants in Junction City and Salina. Are you sure the one in Garden is owned by the same person? | |

| OK we went. Was ok I'll prolly go back, but it's definitely not Olive Garden. I had Fettuccine Alfredo which was pretty good. My mom had spaghetti & meatballs which consisted of a bunch of spaghetti and a couple of big meatballs and a very, dry sauce. I mean there was nothing saucy about that. She eat about half of it and took the rest home where she was gonna dump some Ragu on it. The breadsticks are just short fat hot rolls basically. No garlic or butter on them. When my mom asked for butter she kind of got a little resistance, it was suggested she use this bottle garlic/oil on the table but they relented and brought some butter. You have to pay extra for a salad. Anyway like I said I'd go back myself. | |

| My first night back in Hays last night me and some friends ate there for supper. I thought the prices were very reasonable and the food was good. I would definitely go back there again when i come back to Hays. I agree that its not like Olive Garden but its definetely something good for Hays and i hope the locals here support it. | |

| Never been to an Italian place. Might like some of it, but buffet lines and takeout places suit me best. | |

This place was much better. Unfortunately, it closed after the owner died and the new owners ruined it. It's a Mexican restaurant now. This one was also much better. Unfortunately, it burned to the ground. I've never been here, but I hear it's excellent. Might want to try this one, too. Meanwhile, most people enjoy Olive Garden because they know what they're going to get from them. It may not be the best Italian or even the most authentic, but it's consistent.

| Yes, well we dont have one of those here unfortunately. And Olive Garden is YUMMY!
Alg8tr, the breadsticks were small loaves with nothing on them. No butter or garlic.

Alg8tr, the breadsticks were small loaves with nothing on them. No butter or garlic. That's what they give you at Zio's. It's really quite good with the seasoned oil on it.

| It's really a shame that the Venetian Italian Restaurant in Vegas is no more.
Olive Garden is delish! Sure, you can make some stuff at home, but I'm not about to take the time to whip up manicotti formaggio or apricot chicken at home. I'm all about fast and simple, right now.
Buffets...I can't do buffets anymore. Too much of a germophobe.

| OK....We checked it out tonite and the service was very good not a long wait to get served and the food was decent and a good value with a decent size serving. The bread was 2 small loaves as described with butter as noted missing earlier. One thing I didn't get and thought it was unusual was no seasoned olive oil on the table with the meal. | |

| I've seen and heard too many things to figure anyplace but the most elite places are perfectly sanitary, and maybe not even them. My first round of the flu this last winter was most likely thanks to employees going to work sick where I got breakfast and lunch. And after hearing Jeffrey Dahmer worked in a candy factory it's hard to be trusting. | |

| I have not had good experiences with buffets. Went to a buffet at a resort in Mexico and there was a group of elderly Americans in front of us. One lady tasted the jello with the serving spoon and then put it back in the jello. We turned around and left.
But then there was the time we took my in-laws to Golden Corral and the lady in charge of the lettuce was not wearing any gloves, sneezing, wearing a tank top and sweating profusely. Sickened me.
There are so few places I can eat now, being both a diabetic and living a gluten-free lifestyle. I miss my Italian food. *sniffles*

| I understand the buffet line complaint. The guy who once owned Alloways resturant was seen taking a bite off a piece of chicken and tossing it back in the buffet pan. And who knows what customers might do. | |

| Good grief you guys, you cant be paranoid every time you go out to eat otherwise you'd never leave your homes. I can certainly understand wanting to be careful but I myself am not going to live my life holed up in my house cooking my own meals. | |
