| I thought it was kinda overly dorky, like many shows of the era. They tried a little too hard to be stupid and were successful. Earlier sitcoms that went for the stupid characters and plots did so more masterfully, Like the Beverly Hillbillies, Gomer Pyle, Gilligans Island etc. I don't think there was another really great show featuring stupid characters until Married With Children. I'd have done Shirley though.  | |
