Anyone else see the end of the Cleveland-Cincinnati game on Sunday? Freaking hilarious! This isn't verbatim, but the conversation from the announcers went something like this:

Ian Eagle: 7 seconds left, and the Bengals take timeout to set up for a field goal.

Rich Gannon: I can't believe they called time out with this much time left. Now if he makes the kick, they'll have to kick off, and Cleveland has a great return team! This is a mistake that could actually cost them the game!

Eagle: Rich, this is overtime. The game's over if he makes the kick.

Gannon (laughing, after an awkward silence): Oh, yeah. Sorry about that.

Eagle: For a second there, I thought Donovan McNabb had come into the booth.

Most ex-players are pretty sad as broadcasters, but there's not really much excuse for either a) not knowing the rules, or b) not being aware of the game details in the game you're calling.

Figures that he's an ex-Chef and ex-Fader. Goes right along with the Tom Cable assault story.
