| I found out that the FHSU employee that is a confirmed H1N1 case is a resident of Ellis with kids in grade school. It would have been nice to have had that information in the HDN article since it does potentially affect a WHOLE COMMUNITY | |

| I expect that H1N1 has been in Hays for some time now. It doesn't manifest any differently from your average flu in most cases. There have been confirmed cases in Wichita since last Spring- including one gal that the wife works with. I'm guessing the virus has LONG since made it to your little Chermin colony.
I been pretty goddamn sick for a couple days now. Could've been swine flu- hard to say. Doesn't matter much at this point as I'm pretty much over it.

| I am well aware that it will hit eventually . I just think if they are going to make an announcement that a FHSU employee has it, they could at least have the courtesy to let us also know what towns might be affected. I know the person that is sick and I hope all goes smoothly for them. They are good people. | |

| Several people in my area have had it. I'm not so sure that my husband and son didn't have it 2 weeks ago. Our daycare provider had it confirmed that her little boy had it, and said that really it wasn't much different from the rest of the Respiratory Flu crap that goes around. I think it may have been blown out of porportion. I'm sure its serious in some cases, but it hasn't been for those that I've known that had it. | |

| What's different and why there's so much alarm is that the young are more likely to have serious complications whereas typical flu bugs are more dangerous to the elderly. | |

| Some of the young who died had no obvious health issues. They think a former flu epidemic decades ago has given the older ones who get it a degree of immunity. | |

| Hey Wilky i would talk to the health department because i'm sure they make sure you guys get the H1N1 flu shot. I'm sure they have priority on who gets them and who doesn't and you guys should qualify for getting the shot. | |

Nope. Your contrarianism seems to be rooted in the premise that you'll take the wrong side of any issue, no matter what and no matter if you really believe what you're saying. Translated, that means you're an asshole. And since you've pretty much said so yourself in the past, I doubt you'll be offended by it. I will say that it was more fun when you had loons like mikey to take on, but nb owns the group, so the purple-phallus waving jag-off has the HDN forums all to himself now.

Yeah he was definitely a troll that pushed the limitations. I just think we need to see about bring back some of the other drama we use to contend with. We need to bring back the puppy mill girl and the one who had numerous personalities.

| The site is definitely more interesting when there's an open membership. Those were the days.
So what happened to the guy who bought the old domain name? Did he just pay $1500 (or whatever the price was) to shut it down?

No, she was the one who had the collection of crocs in every color. My mother-in-law has some of these. She usually calls them "gators".
