| So now that we are being taxed on the sports complex they decided it is too expensive and are cutting the fields from 8 to 6. Other things that are different from the original plan is an unpaved private road and parking lots and no lighting for the road, soccer and football fields. For those of you who voted for this and made taxes go up, a big thanks. | |

QFT yep this is your Hays political machine. Sell the people a load of crap all dressed up real pretty and shiny then when the time comes for the big reveal you still have a load of crap! | |

| oh but it's not the Hays folks paying for the bulk of the sales tax on this fiasco. It is on the backs of the the out of town shoppers who didn't even get to vote on it. I think it should be a wake up to the geniuses that voted for it that they were sold a bill of goods that was a lie. Same thing happened in Ellis in the 1970's with a proposed community building and it shurnk as the costs rose. It ended in a recall election of the city officials that supported it and they got thrown out of office. | |
